The scoreboard doesn’t lie: It looks like there were three big winners in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 in New Orleans – the Philadelphia Eagles, FOX and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.

FOX attracted more than 127 million viewers for the National Football League’s championship game won by the Eagles over the Kansas City Chiefs at the Superdome, the largest audience for a single network telecast in history.

That huge audience saw multiple INDYCAR on FOX promotional commercials featuring two-time reigning Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge winner Josef Newgarden of Team Penske, three-time and reigning series champion Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing and fan favorite Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren.

Newgarden also appeared during the pregame show on Bourbon Street, greeting fans in his Shell driving suit, along with Team Penske teammate and three-time and reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano.

Social media support from INDYCAR and INDYCAR on FOX channels helped boost those “Fastest Racing on Earth” campaign spots to achieve more than 9 million impressions and 5.6 million video views. Google Trends also showed a significant spike in searches for Newgarden, Palou and O’Ward over Super Bowl weekend.

FOX’s aggressive promotion of its new partnership with INDYCAR during the Super Bowl broadcast was the culmination of a busy weekend of exposure for NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers in New Orleans.

The 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season starts Sunday, March 2 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida (noon ET, FOX, FOX Deportes, INDYCAR Radio Network).
