Evagoras Papasavvas will join the HMD Motorsports for three races in the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season, team officials announced Feb. 24.

The multiple USF2000 race winner will make his series debut June 15 at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) outside St. Louis before racing June 22 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, and July 6 at The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Papasavvas, 17, finished fourth in the USF2000 championship last season, with victories at Mid-Ohio and Toronto.

"I am thrilled to join HMD Motorsports for this exciting opportunity," Papasavvas said. "I’ve been looking forward to my debut in INDY NXT and being a part of such a talented team makes it even more special. I can't wait to get on track and contribute to the team's success, but before then, I will join the team in St. Pete to prepare myself better and be on site if duty calls."

Papasavvas also will serve as an HMD Motorsports reserve driver for the remaining INDY NXT by Firestone events in 2025.

“We are excited to have Evagoras join our roster for these races,” HMD Motorsports President Mike Maurini said. “His drive, passion and potential are exactly what we look for in a driver, and we have no doubt he will bring great energy and dedication to the team. He has had success in USF2000, and his 2025 driving duties and reserve driver role will help better his skill set for a potential full-season campaign in 2026.”

The 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season opens at 10 a.m. ET Sunday, March 2 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida (live, FS1, INDYCAR Radio Network).
