Cusick Motorsports, which announced last month an INDY NXT by Firestone program for 2026, is rebranding to Cusick Morgan Motorsports, team officials announced Sept. 4.
The name change and new logo (photo, above) reflect recognition of the large contributions to the team made by team director Billy Morgan.
“Billy has proven himself to be a top-level operator and more than deserves to be a partner in our team,” team owner Don Cusick said. “I am proud to have his name alongside mine and to help ensure the legacy is carried on for many more years to come. As we enter this next phase of our growth in motorsports, I know Billy is the right person to have on the front lines.”
Cusick Morgan announced a technical partnership with HMD Motorsports for a two-car entry in the INDYCAR development series in 2026. Cusick Motorsports, formed in 2021, also fielded cars in the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge in 2024 and 2025 in partnership with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.
“It cannot be understated what an honor this is to be named as an operating partner with Don,” Morgan said. “Don’s vision ever since he entered into motorsports is nothing short of incredible, and I am honored and thrilled to carry on his vision and legacy for many years to come.
“We are just beginning our journey, and we look forward to elevating our program alongside our fellow team members, partners, and drivers.”
